Dundee pub closes after being linked to student virus outbreak on the city

pub has temporarily closed as health chiefs probe links to confirmed Covid-19 cases. The Captain’s Cabin bar has volunteered to shut its doors while carrying out a deep clean in light of the recent outbreak amongst the nearby student community.All staff at the drinking spot will also undergo testing for the virus in a bid to keep them and their customers safe.In a statement, the pub confirmed their temporary closure.The Captain’s Cabin said: “As most of you will be aware, there has been an outbreak within the student community of Dundee.“As a safety precaution we have chosen to close the bar for deep cleaning and to have all our staff tested for the Covid-19 virus.“The bar shall remain closed until we feel it is safe for customers and staff.
