iOS - Android Leckie, 44, now of Anderson Street, Hamilton, admitted abducting and assaulting his dad at the family home in Milton Street on September 5 last year.He also admitted brandishing knives at police officers.Hamilton Sheriff Court heard that Leckie's parents, who both have health problems, were wakened by their son arriving home at 1.30am.He was under the influence and was shouting, screaming and throwing vases and ornaments around.Leckie went to the kitchen and returned to the living room holding a bread knife and a carving knife.He started to cut his own throat and ordered his parents to sit down.His mum managed to call the ambulance service who, in turn, alerted the police.Jennifer Cunningham, prosecuting, said officers arrived.
