murderer confessed to dumping one of his victims' bodies in a river.Gary Allen, who had previously been acquitted of sex worker Samantha Class's murder, told undercover officers he strangled to death in Hull in 1997.The recording, which has been released by police, became a pivotal piece of evidence in Allen's retrial at Sheffield Crown Court.After the nine-week trial, he was found guilty today, Thursday, of the murders of both Samantha and Alena Grlakova in 2018.
Samantha's body was found on the banks of the River Humber on October 26, 1997 - just a day after she was killed.During the initial inquiry, police quizzed more than 6,800 people about the crime, HullLive reports.The DNA of 2,000 men was also taken and analysed.Allen was arrested.
