Dominic Calvert-Lewin admits "talking saved my life" after battle with mental health

Everton striker scored the goal which secured the Toffees' Premier League survival against Crystal Palace to cap a positive end to an injury-hit campaign.

Calvert-Lewin suffered a fractured toe back in August which kept him out until the new year and forced him to miss a total of 16 matches for the Toffees.He has now reflected on a difficult campaign and opened up about his own struggles in a heartfelt Instagram post on Monday night.“First of all thank you to you fans for sticking by us this season and for continuing to inspire us right until the last day of the season," wrote the 25-year-old forward.“The main goal became to stay in the premier league and I don’t believe that would have happened without your unbelievable support.“On a personal note I have had to dig deep within myself at times this season and have endured some of the most difficult times of my career and my life to date.Where will Everton finish in the Premier League next season?
