Doctor Who star Jodie Whittaker could miss out on one of the franchise’s most iconic scenes amid falling ratings for the BBC One show.Jodie could be passed over for the upcoming regeneration scenes, which see the Doctor ‘die’ before changing to have a new face and style - played by a new actor.While no replacement has been confirmed for Jodie as yet, the upcoming series could simply see a new actor hop aboard the Tardis as it is claimed BBC bosses are considering a full-on reboot, skipping over Jodie’s final scenes.She wouldn’t be the first Doctor to go without a regeneration scene, as the same happened to Sylvester McCoy when the classic show came to an end, before being rebooted for its 2005 series starting with Christopher Eccleston.Speaking to The Sun, one TV source claimed: "The new team are considering a range of radical options in a bid to revive the flagging fortunes of a programme which is adored by millions around the world."That could see them take the decision to put space between Jodie's time in the Tardis and that of her successor.
