The Manchester Evening News understands Milan have proposed to sign Dalot on another season-long loan with an option to buy, but United currently have no intention of negotiating for the Portuguese and informed him to report for pre-season training next month.
United are interested in signing Atletico Madrid right-back Kieran Trippier but that deal is in jeopardy as Atletico hold out for a higher fee.
