The Manchester Evening News revealed this week that Manchester United were looking to sign another right-back in the current window.
There’s a case to be made that the club have already over-invested in that area, spending just short of £70 million on Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the past three years.
Wan-Bissaka has been Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s preferred choice of the two since he signed from Crystal Palace back in 2019, although doubts do continue to linger about his attacking capabilities.
Dalot’s season-long loan at AC Milan in 2020/21 proved to be a successful one, putting him firmly back in United’s long-term plans.
