Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone stormed onto the pitch and seemed to sarcastically applaud the referee during their Champions League farce against Manchester City.Simeone lost his cool during the closing stages as his side resorted to thuggery and underhand tactics in an attempt to unsettle Pep Guardiola's visitors.
The game boiled over after Felipe took out Phil Foden. Stefan Savic attempted to drag the England international off the pitch, sparking a huge brawl involving players, staff and substitutes.
After the initial melee had calmed down and referee Daniel Siebert had finished handing out his cards, Simeone left his technical area and encroached onto the pitch to make his feelings known to the official.
The Argentine hothead was booked for his actions as he appeared to sarcastically applaud the referee, although others suggested he was clapping Atletico's fans.
