In fact, the Foo Fighters frontman, 55, gave Blum, 48, the dubious moniker on the night they met at Los Angeles’ Sunset Marquis whiskey bar in 2001.The former Nirvana drummer was at the watering hole with his late bandmate Taylor Hawkins when a woman flirting with the latter introduced her friend, Blum, to Grohl.
The Grammy winner immediately thought she was out of his league. “Taylor was the looker,” Grohl recalled in a 2007 interview with the since-shuttered music publication Q magazine. “I’ve got Vans trainers on, no socks, dirty shorts and a dirty T-shirt, surrounded by beautiful Hollywood.”Upon seeing Blum, he thought, “‘Oh my God.
Not a chance!’” “So I’m just having some drinks and acting like a jackass,” he went on. “And by the end of the night I was pissed and I’m staring at her going, ‘You’re my future ex-wife,’” he said, laughing uproariously, according to the magazine.“So she gave me her number: ‘Jordyn, your future ex-wife.’” Grohl married the former model and MTV producer two years later on August 2, 2003, in a ceremony held at their home in LA.
