Aberdeen chairman Dave Cormack voted for the SPFL resolution after being given assurances that all Premiership clubs would be consulted before a final decision is made on their season.
The Dons initial stance was to knock back the proposal to finish the Championship and Leagues One and Two early on a points-per-game basis because they didn’t feel that clubs were being given enough time to consider the proposal and they also want the campaign played out.
Cormack has decided to go with it to allow cash-strapped clubs to get their payout from the league and the fact they can still influence how the Premiership campaign is decided.
