Being cast in a television show hailed as ‘the next Game of Thrones’ is every up-and-coming actor’s dream. So when 28-year-old Dubliner Danielle Galligan landed a leading role in Netflix’s upcoming adaptation of fantasy series Shadow and Bone, it was a veritable ‘pinch-me’ moment.
However, what she didn’t expect was the initial backlash from die-hard fans who thought she wasn’t curvy enough for the role she was to play.
