Juventus defender Daniele Rugani has reached out on social media after testing positive for coronavirus. The 25-year-old became the first Serie A footballer to test positive for COVID-19, with the news breaking on Wednesday evening.
Italian champions Juve say they are "activating all the isolation procedures required by law", including for those who have come into contact with Rugani.
He has made seven appearances for Juventus this season – the last being in the 2-1 win against Spal on February 22 – but was an unused substitute for on Sunday in their behind-closed-doors victory against Inter Milan.
The whole Juve team is now being placed under quarantine, as well as Inter’s, while others are following suit in other countries.
