A model is still testing positive for coronavirus 56 days on despite showing no symptoms of the potentially deadly bug. Biana Dobroiu, 23, from Bologna, Italy, was among the first in the region to be diagnosed with Covid-19 after she was hospitalised with a fever of 40.7C on February 28 as the country rapidly became a new hotspot.
She was discharged on March 6 and told to self-isolate at home as non-serious coronavirus cases were not being treated in hospitals at the time.
Since then, the university student has had five positive test results and one unclear result while in quarantine, and an infection expert believes "nobody else in Italy has tested positive for so long".
