Bayern Munich’s CEO has responded with amazement after RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner made it clear that he will not be moving to the current German champions.

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge did not expect such a reaction from the player - telling Sport Bild: "I'm actually not surprised at anything any more - but I've never seen a player make such a statement in response to rumours in public." Werner is the second-top scorer in the Bundesliga so far this season, behind Robert Lewandowski - with 21 goals in 25 games.

He has been linked with plenty of clubs across England, and now seems most likely to move overseas. Barcelona have named Mattia de Sciglio as the latest Juventus player they are interested in bringing to Spain, according to Marca.
