It is thought that Coman, 23, who worked with Pep Guardiola during his time at Bayern, would be available if Leroy Sane moved to the Allianz Arena this summer - and that would free him up to move in the opposite direction to City.
Sane remains a target for Bayern and has under 18 months remaining on his contract, meaning this summer is one of the last opportunities City may have to earn some money on the German.
