Basketball players from Dalry School have been crowned regional champions. The junior team – consisting of three S3 players and five in S2 – defeated Dumfries High in the final – despite their opponents having a school roll around 20 times greater.
The Dalry side also won all of their league games en route to the final, which they edged 44-43 after a thrilling contest. The juniors are a talented and dedicated squad, playing during break and lunch, with seven of the juniors playing with Ayr as well as the school team.
