However, he’s now in the twilight of his career and a departure looks on the cards. Ferland Mendy has nailed down the left-back role and Marcelo is getting left out in the cold.
The more experienced player has managed just 11 La Liga appearances this season. According to reports in Spain, a reunion with Cristiano Ronaldo could be on the cards though.
