Paisley man David Baldwin, 60, was snared by child protection officers after downloading vile abuse photos onto his computers on two occasions, six years apart, because he was dealing with “stress,” it was claimed.
Paisley Sheriff Court heard Baldwin was caught with a number of obscene pictures. However, only 34 images were accessible on his devices when they were inspected by cyber crime specialists.
Of those, 21 were identified as Category A, the worst level of classification.He appeared in the dock before Sheriff David Pender for sentencing after he pleaded guilty to charges of permitting or allowing to be taken, indecent images of children, between October 17, 2013 and November 26, 2019.He also admitted possessing the child abuse.
