LOS ANGELES – As officials across 53 of California’s 58 counties continue to implement various stages respectively for the limited reopening of their economies, public health officials recorded 132 new COVID-19 related deaths Tuesday.
That grim count marked the most deaths in a single day since the previous count of 117 late last month. The number of confirmed cases statewide has climbed to 85,887 on Wednesday with 3,493 deaths.
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LACDPH) confirmed 57 new deaths and 1,324 new cases of COVID-19. Ten deaths were reported by the City of Long Beach and three deaths were reported by the City of Pasadena.
