Police are searching for a gunman after three men were shot on a busy street.The attack took place on Far Gosford Street in Coventry, shortly after 10pm on Thursday.Emergency services have sealed off a section of the street, and police branded the incident “outrageous violence”.

Two men suffered serious injuries, and a third was taken to hospital for treatment. West Midlands Police believe the gunman left in a dark-coloured vehicle and have appealed to the public for information.

A cordon remains in place this morning as forensic examinations take place.The force confirmed in a statement: "We’re investigating after three men were shot on Far Gosford Street at around 10.15pm Thursday."Three men have been taken to hospital – two to be treated.
