Tom Hanks has shared a positive update after the Hollywood star confirmed that he had contracted the deadly coronavirus. The Forest Gump actor, 63, has been in quarantine with his wife Rita Wilson, 63, in Australia since the couple contracted COVID-19.
Following their hospitalisation, Tom and Rita were given the opportunity to self-isolate in Queensland where they had already rented a property for the duration of their work trip.
However, two weeks after announcing that he had contracted the virus, Hanks appears to be in the clear and took to social media urging people to "shelter" in order to defeat the deadly virus which was recently declared a global pandemic.
