Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Although the country was the first European country to be hit hard by Covid-19, the UK has overtaken its death toll at a staggering 32,692.

Italy's healthcare system struggled to keep up with the growing number of cases, especially because of its large elderly population.
