Coronavirus mystery as nine-month-old boy becomes second baby in UK to catch disease

A mum has spoken of her shock after her young son became what is thought to be the second baby to contract killer coronavirus in the UK.

Cassian Coates had a fever and cold for a number of days so concerned parents Myroslava and Callum took him to hospital. They were stunned to be told that he had got coronavirus - despite neither of them having shown any symptoms.

The couple, who are now self-isolating at home in Manchester, are now treating Cassian with Calpol as if he had a cold. Mrs Coates, told Sky News : "When we got there, we had to go through special measures and ring a certain number for them to let us in.
