Martin Lewis has explained what furlough is after Brits were told they could be entitled to 80% of their usual wage during the coronavirus pandemic.

The moneysavingexpert.com founder was doing his usual appearance on ITV's This Morning from his home in north-west London and explained furlough leave.

Brought in as an emergency measure, it means that people with jobs but who cannot work due to self-isolation, childcare issues, or because a business has been temporarily closed due to Covid-19, can be given up to 80% of their usual wage via a government grant.
