The clip was shared by the dog’s owner Luis Chacon in the city of Granada as Spain battles one of the world's most severe coronavirus outbreaks – with 767 COVID-19 deaths recorded as of this afternoon.
In the video, the tiny mutt – called Murphy – wears a harness and stands at the entrance of the park where the gate is locked shut.
The pooch whines and wags his tail and is clearly itching to go inside as his owner tells him: “It’s closed.” Luis tells the miserable pooch that he is sorry but it continues whining until the clip ends.
