David Robert Joseph Beckham OBE (born 2 May 1975) is an English former professional footballer, the current president of Inter Miami CF and co-owner of Salford City. He played for Manchester United, Preston North End, Real Madrid, Milan, LA Galaxy, Paris Saint-Germain and the England national team, for which he held the appearance record for an outfield player until 2016. He is the first English player to win league titles in four countries: England, Spain, the United States and France. He retired in May 2013 after a 20-year career, during which he won 19 major trophies.

David Beckham has revealed he's doing his bit to fight the coronavirus crisis by protecting wife Victoria and their four children at home.

The former footballer, and new Inter Miami CF president, took to Instagram to take part in the viral #Istayhomefor challenge.

The craze has been sweeping social media in the past week led by celebs who have been holiding up cards detailing who they were self-isolating for to encourage others to do the same.

Dressed in a stylish baker boy hat and plaid shirt, David held up a pink sign in front of the camera that read: "#Istayhome for VB and my kids..."
