Jack joined the ITV drama in 2000 as Gail Platt's son and he took to Instagram to thank the long-running award-winning soap for "everything" and share "photos of my life before I got the part". "Today marks my 20th year anniversary playing the role of David Platt, here’s a few photos of my life before I got the part and a few highlights of my character," he wrote. "Thank you @coronationstreet for everything." The soap made the decision to suspend filming in mid-March in a bid to protect all those involved from catching corornavirus which is sweeping the globe.
