Coronation Street's Faye star emotional as she pays tribute to co-star after his death

Coronation Street star Ellie Leach has honoured her late co-star Duggie Brown who tragically died earlier in the week.The actress who plays Faye Windass on the ITV soap opera shared her touching message shortly after the news of Duggie's death was confirmed by his agent.

Duggie, who was 82 years old at the time of his death appeared on Coronation Street earlier this year following a lengthy career in the comedy industry. You brought so much laughter in the short time I got to work with you."It was such a pleasure and will be something I will remember forever!

You will be sadly missed by many."However, this wasn't the first time Duggie had made an appearance on Corrie, as he's made two previous cameos.Back in the 1990s, he was cast as George Freeman, the owner of The Hour Glass Bar before making an appearance again in 2004 as Bernie Cooper, playing Rula Romanoff's husband.Sharing the news of Duggie's death, his manager Lee Morgan tweeted: "It is with a heavy heart I share the news the very talented comedian and actor Duggie Brown passed away this morning with his wife Jackie by his side."What an honour it was to work with Duggie.
