Coronation Street Andy Whyment was left red-faced when he got confused with the name of his co-star of 14 years, Gary Windass actor Mikey North. The actor, 41, recently went out with his soap pals for their Spring Party, the casts' first big get-together since before the pandemic.Andy, who has played the show’s Kirk Sutherland in the ITV soap since 2000, posted a selfie on Instagram alongside co-stars Tyrone Dobbs actor Alan Halsall, Phill Whittaker actor Jamie Kenna and Gary Windass Actor Mikey North. The lads enjoyed a pre-game pint in the selfie before they headed off to the glitzy Spring Party with the actor captioning, “Pre @coronationstreet party drinks with @alanhalsall @thejamiekenna and Mickey North.”However Andy failed to realise in the caption, which has since been edited, he called his friend of 14 years’ Mikey "Mickey" instead.Corrie pals found the hilarious side to the mistake and went to the comment section to make some jokes about the blunder.Among those to call it was Samia, Andy’s on-screen sister, who asked: “Who’s Micky??” with crying laughing emojis.Kel Allen, who recently left the soap in heartbreaking scenes as Laura Neelan, also said: “Oh Micky you’re so fine, you’re so fine, you’re so fine oh Micky.....

Who’s Micky?”With Colson Smith, Corrie’s Craig Tinker, also writing: “I love Micky.”But despite the error, Corrie fans were thrilled to see the foursome together and out enjoying themselves, one wrote: “Nice to see you guys enjoying a bit of Sun and drinks!”Replying to Samia a day after he posted, Andy said: “Only just realised I’d put Micky [crying laughing emojis] I’ve just changed it.”The Salford-based soap stars glammed up and let their hair down at Manchester’s Science and Industry Museum.
