He is currently the co-presenter of This Morning (2002–present) and Dancing on Ice (2006–2014, 2018–present) alongside Holly Willoughby. His other work for ITV includes All Star Mr & Mrs (2008–2016), The Cube (2009–2015), and 5 Gold Rings (2017–present). Schofield gained national attention working for the BBC, first as a continuity presenter for Children's BBC on weekdays from 1985 to 1987, then as a presenter on the children's Saturday morning magazine show Going Live! between September 1987 and April 1993.

Coronation Street Gail Platt actress Helen Worth confirms filming return date

This Morning viewers were thrilled to see a Coronation Street legend appear on the show today, as Helen Worth joined Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield via video call.

The 69-year-old actress, who plays Gail Platt on the soap, discussed Corrie's return to filming in the coming weeks. Back in March, ITV suspending filming of the soap to protect the cast and crew as the coronavirus pandemic took hold.

Today, Helen confirmed: "We are going back in a few weeks I think, it's all been organised by ITV. "It will be safe for us to go back." The soap star added that viewers can likely look forward to more weekly episodes – after they were reduced to just three per-week earlier this year.
