Coronation Street spoilers have revealed that David will start to break down after his wife asks him for an divorce, and falls into the arms of newcomer Alina Pop.
His mum Gail Platt (Helen Worth) is horrified to learn what David has been up to, and gives him a piece of his mind. As David storms out, he ends up drinking away his sorrows while walking through the streets when two muggers suddenly drag him into an alley and pull a knife on him.
