Police officers are reportedly using bolt cutters to break up protestors who have chained themselves together on the King George V bridge in Glasgow.
Activists from a group called Scientist Rebellion have been blocking the road for around two hours as a major police operation was sparked by their actions.
The group, wearing white lab coats, chained themselves together as they held a sign saying 'climate revolution or we will lose everything'.
Cops have been at a standoff with activists but it is understood they are now using bolt cutters to break up the group one by one.Around 30 people taking part in the demonstration are expected to be arrested.
