Converse is charging people £20 more to make your shoes dirty before you buy them

mirror.co.ukConverse has a new line of shoes that are almost identical to another line - but cost almost £20 more because they come out of the box dirty.
A pair of classic Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars cost about £50, but the new Basic Wash range will set you back £70 for the privilege of buying them already messed up.
The trainer firm says on its website the range "features get an aged makeover". "Skip the break-in period. A dirty wash treatment gives these classic Chucks a vintage look, straight out of the box," the Converse site explains.
In grey or navy, the canvas tops look like they’ve been to Glastonbury countless times and been caked in mud and caught in the rain.
