The Danish midfielder collapsed on the pitch during the first half of the fixture against Finland, and received quick medical treatment from teammates and medics at the stadium.
Fans watched on in shock as he was stretched off the pitch and taken to hospital. The 29-year-old suffered a cardiac arrest, the team doctor has since said, and is in a stable condition.
