Manchester United and Roma have reportedly finally reached an agreement that will see Chris Smalling return to the Serie A outfit.Smalling impressed on loan in the Italian capital last season and suggested he was eager to return to the club.He has been back at United since the end of last campaign though not part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans.It had seemed that a deal to take Smalling back to Roma was dead in the water though it now seems a last-minute transfer is close.The Athletic’s transfer expert David Ornstein has tweeted how the two clubs have reached an agreement with a fee of €15m (£13.5m) plus €5 in add-ons.United were believed to be looking for around £25m for Smalling though the defender is eager to leave and it seems the Red.
