Manchester United chiefs reportedly turned down Marcos Rojo’s request to terminate his contract this summer amid interest from Turkey.Rojo, 30, spent the second half of last season on loan at Estudiantes after falling out of favour under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, yet only managed to make one appearance for the Argentinian outfit.The defender has not featured for United since coming on as a late substitute against Brighton in November 2019, with Harry Maguire’s £80million arrival last year pushing him further down the pecking order at Old Trafford.As a result, he appeared almost certain to be on his way out of the club in the summer transfer window.According to transfer expert Duncan Castles, Rojo asked United officials to terminate his contract.
