Chelsea have set their sights on a move for Bayer Leverkusen starlet Kai Havertz after cooling their interest in Barcelona flop Philippe Coutinho.
Reports in Spain have recently suggested that Coutinho, who left Liverpool to join Barca for £130m in January 2018, was on the brink of sealing a return to the Premier League at Stamford Bridge.
Blues manager Frank Lampard was said to have identified the Brazilian as a key summer transfer target, along with the likes of Jadon Sancho and Dries Mertens.
But according to The Athletic, the west London club are no longer keen on signing Coutinho and are instead focusing on other potential recruits - including Havertz.
