Their latest result saw Chelsea produce a convincing 4-1 victory against Sheffield United before the international break. Lampard will be looking to extend his side’s good form when they visit Steve Bruce’s Newcastle United, and regardless he will have an eye cast on the January transfer window.
After a big spending summer it is likely the Blues board will have tightened the purse strings slightly, but Lampard is still expected to have funds at his disposal.
