Frank Lampard believes he "deserved" the Chelsea job but concedes his status at the club was a factor in him being appointed.
The former midfielder was made the Blues boss last summer when Maurizio Sarri left the club. His managerial CV included just one year as Derby manager, which he admits is not the normal pathway to such a high profile job.
But Lampard by no means wants to receive an easy ride at Stamford Bridge and expects to be "harshly judged" He told : “Not many people get a job at Chelsea after one year at Derby.
