Chelsea are “still interested” in a £27m goalkeeper transfer – despite bringing in Edouard Mendy over the summer. The Blues were left with a big problem to solve when £72m shot-stopper Kepa Arrizabalaga made a disastrous start to the 2020/21 campaign.
It saw Frank Lampard sign Mendy from Rennes for £22m, immediately slotting into the Spaniard’s position between the posts. And the Senegalese international has not put a foot wrong, conceding just three goals in 12 appearances this season.
But Italian outlet Mundo Udinese [via Sportwitness] have reported that Chelsea are not finished in their goalkeeper hunt yet.
