The former Borussia Dortmund attacker enjoyed a fine end to his first season in English football, with his impressive form post-lockdown helping the Blues reach the FA Cup final.
He scored their opening goal in that Wembley final against Arsenal, but was soon forced off with a hamstring injury which would see him miss the start of this season.
After returning in October and making five appearances, Pulisic felt the hamstring again in the warm-up before the clash at Burnley at the end of the month, and he subsequently missed the next four games.
