mirror.co.ukChelsea boss Frank Lampard believes it will take far fewer points to win the title this season. Manchester City broke the 100 point barrier to win the Premier League in 2018 and retained it with 98 points the following year while Liverpool were crowned champions with 99 last season.
But Lampard says all the title challengers will drop points along the way this season in a very unpredictable year as he also tried to play down Chelsea ’s chances.
Lampard said: “Everyone will feel that in their own mind and I think the level of points will be less and I think we have to try and make sure we maintain our levels to keep improving to stay in that. “I think that’s just where we’re at this season, you’ve seen the results.
