Celtic's media team have been slammed by social media users who have accused them of showing a lack of class during their Scottish Cup semi-final defeat to rivals Rangers at Hampden Park on Sunday (April 17).
Ange Postecoglou's Scottish Premiership leaders took a second-half lead through Greg Taylor but Scott Arfield forced the game into extra-time before the clash was decided in the favour of Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side by Carl Starfelt's unfortunate own goal.
After that 114th minute mistake, the official @CelticFC Twitter account, which has 810,000 followers, simply tweeted as they looked set to crash out at the last four stage: "Goal to the opposition."One Twitter user said in response: "Show some class FFS."TalkSport journalist David Tanner said: "Oh, come on!
You’re better than that, guys!"A third continued: "Such pettiness."With a fourth agreeing: "Pathetic and classless."And a fifth concluding: "What an embarrassment." HAVE YOUR SAY!
