Catherine Tyldesley says it hurt her when she had to stop breastfeeding her son Alfie after just six weeks. The former Coronation Street favourite has opened up about her experiences as a mother for National Breastfeeding week.
Catherine, 36, revealed allowing him to feed from her left the actress with serious migraines due to a dip in the hormone estrogen.
Estrogen levels fall at delivery and remain low for the first several months of breastfeeding, and a drop in the hormone can cause migraine.
