Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has urged Harry Maguire to leave Manchester United as it is “too late” for him to resurrect his career at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils’ skipper has been a beacon of fury and anger for the United fans, who have become infuriated with his performances.
He endured another evening to forget in England’s 3-3 draw against Germany, giving the ball away and fouling Jamal Musiala in the penalty area for Germany's first goal, before losing the ball high up the pitch moments before the 2014 World Cup winner’s second goal. While he appears to have kept Gareth Southgate’s faith and loyalty ahead of the World Cup in November, Maguire appears to have lost his place under United boss Erik ten Hag.
And Carragher believes this season should be his last at Old Trafford, if he wants to recapture the form that convinced United to part with £80m in the summer of 2019.Read More: Man Utd's Harry Maguire gives England 'the best chance of winning' says Gareth Southgate"My question to Maguire is this: 'Do you still have that same fury in you?” Carragher said in his column for the Daily Telegraph.
