A carer says she was forced to walk for an hour to get to work after a bus driver refused to give her change. Sarah King, 55, only had a £5 note when she got on the bus but the driver didn't give her any money back on the fare.
The Arriva bus driver said it was against his company's policy to give change, so she either had to get off the bus or give him the £5 for the trip and not get any money back.
Sarah reluctantly gave the driver the £5 note as she needed to get to work, but she then needed to borrow money from a friend to get home and had to walk to work the next day.
