Canelo Alvarez will face unbeaten Brit Billy Joe Saunders on May 8 as the super middleweight rivals go head-to-head for the WBC, WBA, WBO and Ring Magazine World championships.Canelo, who further cemented his pound for pound king status with a third round win over Yildirim at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, noted the ‘complicated’ style of Saunders following the announcement.Saunders' WBO belt was the obvious target of the Mexican, and negotiations coincided with his win over Yildirim and recent bettering of previously unbeaten former WBA champion Callum Smith.Canelo, who has lost only to Floyd Mayweather Jr.
