Eddie Hearn has revealed he has held talks with Alvarez's promoters, Golden Boy, about the Liverpool super-middleweight facing the Mexican superstar.WBA champion Smith, 30, was in contention to face Alvarez in May only for WBO title holder Billy Joe Saunders to secure the bout ahead of him.That fight was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic and now Saunders has ruled himself out of talks for a September clash.That is due to the reduced fee on offer now from Canelo's team because of the lack of a live gate.But Smith is willing to accept a pay cheque of around £3.9m ($5m) to take the clash.John Ryder, who Smith beat in his last outing, has also been suggested by Hearn but he revealed the only interest shown so far has been in Smith.The.
