Caitlyn Marie Jenner (born William Bruce Jenner; October 28, 1949) is an American television personality and retired Olympic gold medal–winning decathlete.

Jenner played college football for the Graceland Yellowjackets before incurring a knee injury that required surgery. Convinced by Olympic decathlete Jack Parker's coach, L. D. Weldon, to try the decathlon, Jenner won the men's decathlon event at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, setting a third successive world record and gaining fame as "an all-American hero".

Given the unofficial title of "world's greatest athlete", Jenner established a career in television, film, writing, auto racing, business, and as a Playgirl cover model.

James Christian Kimmel (born November 13, 1967) is an American television host, comedian, writer, and producer. He is the host and executive producer of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, a late-night talk show that premiered on ABC on January 26, 2003 at Hollywood Masonic Temple in Hollywood, California; and on April 1, 2019, at a secondary home, the Zappos Theater on the Las Vegas Strip. Kimmel hosted the Primetime Emmy Awards in 2012 and 2016, and the Academy Awards in 2017 and 2018.

Caitlyn Jenner called out Jimmy Kimmel after the late-night host compared the California gubernatorial candidate to former President Donald Trump.

The comedian took time out of his "Jimmy Kimmel Live" monologue Friday to mock Jenner after her appearance on "The View" in which she discussed her run for governor of California.

Kimmel opened the bit by referring to her as "Caitlyn Jenner Car-crashian," referencing the 2016 crash she was involved in.The collision killed a woman, Kim Howe, after the SUV Jenner was driving pushed her car into oncoming traffic.
