Butlin’s ‘warns staff 1,000 jobs at risk when furlough ends next month’

A sixth of Butlin's 6,000 staff are said to be at risk of losing their jobs when the Government's furlough scheme comes to an end in October, it has been reported.

The BBC claim to have seen documentation sent to employees - and the holiday camp operator has hit out at the decision to make public the findings.

A thousand positions are said to be in serious jeopardy once the jobs retention programme is over next month. But Butlin's say a decision has yet to be made regarding what happens next.
